Uncorked: What Your Wine Label Is Actually Trying to Tell You

Description

https://nykitchen.com/event/uncorkedwinelabels/

A guided tasting for curious drinkers who are done nodding confidently at wine labels they absolutely cannot read.

You walk into a wine shop feeling great. Then the labels hit you. “Grüner Veltliner.” “Premier Cru.” A drawing of a château that may or may not be haunted. Suddenly you’re just a person holding a bottle, hoping your face doesn’t betray you.

So you do what any reasonable adult does: you squint thoughtfully, mutter something like “interesting finish,” and grab the one with the cute dog on it.

There’s a better way.

Join Beverage Education Manager Jen Menges of New York Kitchen for a fun, zero-pretension deep dive into what wine labels actually mean. You’ll taste your way through a curated flight of five wines, and by the time you’re done, those labels won’t feel like a foreign language anymore, they’ll feel like a cheat sheet you’ve had all along.

  • Flight of 5 curated wines
  • Nosh box by Chef Pamela Cecere
  • No experience needed
  • Actually fun, we promise

You’ll leave with the confidence to walk into any wine shop, any restaurant, any dinner party, and actually know what you’re talking about. Or at the very least, know exactly which bottle has the cute dog on it and why it’s actually pretty good!
