Grant Funds Available: We encourage you or your HR dept. to consider applying for a training grant for incumbent workers through RochesterWorks. Click here for more information including details on eligibility requirements. Monroe County businesses can receive up to 90% matching reimbursement for preapproved, training-related costs, up to a maximum of $10,000. Training must be completed within six (6) months of approval. Grant application review may take up to 30 days so please plan accordingly! 

Course Objective: This program presents the practical concepts, strategies, and skills needed to enhance a leader's performance. Learn to create an environment of trust where people do better work by building a higher trust. Integrate generational differences into leadership mindset. Improve interpersonal skills and build emotional intelligence. Improve teamwork and motivation. Understand TQM and lean thinking in the modern organization. Master all forms of communication to reduce stress and conflict.

Course Length: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (5 x Four-Hour Sessions)

  • Friday, February 26
  • Friday, March 5

Those wishing to register must do so by January 28, 2027 in order for materials to be mailed to registrants in time for class start. During the registration process, registrants will be asked for their mailing address. Please include your preferred mailing address, whether work or home. The information will not be shared outside of this purpose. 

Virtual Meeting Platform:
The trainer, Bob Whipple, will email registrants within 1 week prior to the session start date with the necessary information including the Zoom link.

Note Regarding Use of AI Technology: 
To protect the proprietary nature of our training materials, the use of AI bots, automated note-taking tools, and third-party transcription technologies (e.g., Otter.ai, Fireflies, Notably, Zoom AI Companion) is strictly prohibited during live or recorded Virtual sessions unless explicitly approved by the trainer/presenter in advance.

If you require the use of AI or other tools as a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please submit a written request to Kathy Richmond, Sr. Director, HR Services at kathy.richmond@greaterrochesterchamber.com no later than 10 business days prior to the session. Requests will be reviewed on an individualized basis in accordance with applicable law.

Unauthorized use of such technology may result in removal from the session and restriction from future training participation.

Non-members: $795

No cancellations or refunds will be accepted after January 28. If you are no longer able to attend the training, we can transfer your registration to a colleague, or a credit may be offered to move your registration to a future training session.
