Employers are responsible for complying with many labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). However there is often confusion regarding various aspects of FLSA including but not limited to:

  • The criteria for the 29 CFR 541 exemptions (also known as the Executive, Administrative, and Professional exemptions) 
  • Calculating overtime for nonexempt employees working different jobs
  • Rounding time
  • Recordkeeping requirements
